Position Overview:
The Lead Montessori Teacher will guide a mixed-age classroom of 3-6-year-olds, fostering independence, respect, and a love for learning. The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator with a deep understanding of Montessori principles, strong classroom management skills, and a heart for nurturing children in alignment with Islamic values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a peaceful, engaging Montessori environment
• Deliver individualized lessons based on each child’s developmental needs
• Observe and document student progress, planning accordingly
• Foster independence, responsibility, and mutual respect among students
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and staff
• Supervise and mentor Teaching Assistants, promoting teamwork and collaboration
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom in accordance with school policies

Qualifications:

• Montessori certification preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of Montessori classroom experience preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and Montessori pedagogy
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Alignment with Islamic values and commitment to character development

Montessori Teaching Assistant
Children’s House (Ages 3-6)

Mishkah Academy is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our Children’s House team for the 2025-26 academic year. This is a wonderful opportunity to support young children during their most formative years in a warm, Montessori and Islamic environment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting the Lead Teacher in maintaining a peaceful, engaging, and organized classroom
• Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth in line with Montessori principles
• Helping prepare materials and manage classroom activities
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children
• Collaborating with staff and maintaining positive communication with families

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children (Montessori experience a plus)

Mishkah Academy is seeking a reliable, caring, and dedicated Aftercare Program Lead to oversee our Aftercare Program for the 2025-26 academic year. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about working with children and providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment after school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and care for children ages 3 and up during aftercare hours Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that are fun and enriching Ensure a safe, organized, and positive environment for all students Communicate effectively with parents and staff Maintain attendance records and follow school policies and procedures Support the overall well-being and happiness of each child in your care Requirements:

Experience working with young children (early childhood or school-age preferred) Reliable, punctual, and committed to the full academic year Patient, energetic, and nurturing demeanor Ability to manage groups of children and foster positive behavior Alignment with Islamic values and the school’s mission CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM
