Asad is a native of North Carolina with over 15+ years of professional experience and has worked at Mgmt. Consulting firms and BigTech companies. Graduated from NC State with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Computer Engineering. Asad is passionate about leveraging real-world experience to advance the cause of our community and has worked with a number of community leaders and imams to launch various community projects (BeyondChai, IslamProven, and currently exploring options to launch Defi lending).

Navaid Ahmed
Treasurer
Finance & Fundraising ChairNavaid Ahmed moved from Florida and settled in the Triangle area 17 years ago. He has 4 lovely kids that keep him and his wife on their toes. Navaid has 10+ years of leading teams from building applications to various software products for fortune 100 companies. He has diverse experience with 18+ years in various industries and technologies. Besides Mishkah, he is actively involved in various community projects such as monthly food pantry drive to building a Youth center in Apex, NC.

Muhammad Nubee
Governance Chair
Muhammad Nubee is an American-born citizen whose career spans over half of a century. As a graduate of Sociology and Human Behavior Studies, his career has included work in prison chaplaincy, psychology instructor and mosque Imam. Muhammad has also served on Boards of Education and held positions of school principal. He has held professional positions in US governmental agencies as well as in several US Fortune 500 companies. Muhammad’s diverse talents and interests have also led him over the years to establish several successful entrepreneurial ventures. Muhammad is a gifted orator, motivational speaker and trainer often called upon by profit and non-profit organizations including radio and TV for his talent. His “can do” and “glass is half full” philosophy speaks to his optimistic approach to life’s challenges.

Kareema Martinez
Montessori Education Advisor
Sr. Kareema Martinez, for a decade, served as Head of School and owner of a Montessori school. She is an Executive Board Member for Mishkah Montessori School. Moreover, she has a MBA, is Lean Six Sigma Certified, is a Doctoral Learner with a specialty in Education/Performance Improvement Leadership, a PhD candidate for Natural Medicine, and overall has 25+ years of leadership and educational experience. It is her belief from experience that individuals learn best through engaging the senses. Her mission is to build self esteem in students through creativity, challenging curriculum/studies, and hands-on learning opportunities wherever the students are in life. She has also written a parenting book, Building Self Esteem In Your Children One Day At A Time and a children’s book, A Child’s Worth. In her leadership roles, she has been responsible for overseeing operations, human resources, finance management, quality control, business strategies, customer service, public relations and achieving a competitive advantage while forecasting future needs. She is inspired by her husband, their 4 children and granddaughter. They keep her on her toes, enthusiastic, and energized every day.

Rabea is a North Carolinian born and bred! She graduated from NC State with a Bachelors in Middle Grades Mathematics Education. She taught at Al-Aqsa School in Bridgeview, Illinois. After a short tenure as a teacher, Rabea pivoted her career to pharmacy. She graduated from Midwestern University with a Doctorate in Pharmacy. Rabea is passionate about education, parenting, and raising the next generation of children to be mature, Muslim leaders in our community.

Mussarut Jabeen holds an M.S Ed Degree in Educational Leadership and has 12+ years of experience as a school principal/instructional leader, and 10+ years as a teacher. Currently, she serves as the Director of Educational Quality, Performance at the Central Office, TMSA Public Charter School. At Mishkah, she will be overseeing the quality of education and promote excellence.

Razan was born and raised in North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Pharmaceutical Science Degree and currently works in the pharmaceutical industry. As the parents of two lovely children, Razan and her husband are always energized and enthusiastic about all things related to kids! Razan is full of creative ideas and has many years of experience planning events and volunteering in the community. She is excited to bring her passion for education and children and lend a helping hand at Mishkah.
